MNMerCon is an event for all ages, stages, and abilities of fishies & friends who are interested in merfolk, performing, & even just some good ol' fashioned fantasy genre fun. Join us for 3 days of MerFolk related & un-related shenannigans to brighten up your dark and dreary winter! While merfolk are what brings most of us together, all are welcome. This all ages, family friendly, & inclusive event is here for you to come explore the merfolk community as well as a whole lot of other activities!
Reine Garbow will be speaking at the unveiling of a new sculpture of Cecilia, an 1860's Ojibwe woman who lived with her fur post husband in the mid 1800's. She will speak about Ojibwe women in the 1800's and in our world today. Women attending the Women Wellness event at Osprey Wilds will also be in attendance. All are welcome to hear Reine's talk, see the new sculpture, and walk the paths of the botanical garden. The garden contains flora used by the Ojibwe for all their needs before colonization. Light refreshments will be provided. Donations are appreciated.
