Moose Run Trail

Located north of Finland, the 12-mile Moose Run Trail takes riders through the Sawtooth Mountains along Minnesota's scenic North Shore. The Moose Run Trail is a family-friendly route. The trail winds over hills and through deep woods, brushing along the North Shore State Trail before merging with the Moose Walk Trail.

Moose River Trail

Located in Land O' Lakes State Forest, the Moose River Trail follows gently rolling terrain through dense woods and around small lakes and ponds. Much of the trail originated from past logging roads and provides a smooth, relatively flat ride, ideal for both novice and experienced riders. This scenic area is the start of the great pine forests of Northern Minnesota.

Moose River Connector

Branching off from the Soo Line North Trail near Swatara, the forested Moose River Connector travels seven miles to Land O' Lakes State Forest. The trail connects with the Moose River Trail for an additional 29 miles of riding as well as access to the White Oak Lake Campground.

Moose Lake State Park

A sunny beach and open grassy areas for Frisbee or other sports makes this park a fun, family recreation area. The campground is high on the hill overlooking Echo Lake. The Agate Geological Interpretive Center features information on Minnesota's geology and the state gemstone, the Lake Superior Agate. 5 miles of hiking, boat and canoe rental. There are no groomed ski trails here, but you may backcountry ski. No ski pass required!

Moose Lake Depot & Fires of 1918 Museum

Established in 1969, the Moose Lake Area Historical Society has evolved to become a leader and contributor to events and activities of the community. The mission of the Moose Lake Area Historical Society is to study, research, preserve and promote the history of Moose Lake, Minnesota and its surrounding areas. We maintain and support the Fires of 1918 Museum which includes changing historical exhibits along with permanent artifacts and memorabilia. The museum is located in the Moose Lake Depot, formally the Soo Line Railroad Depot, built in 1907.

Campground on north end of Moosehead Lake with 22 sewered sites, 43 water and electric sites and 17 primitive tent sites. Adjoins City Park and Munger Trail. Easy access to Soo Line Trail.
