The Refuge is located on the Glacial Lake Agassiz beach ridge transition zone. The habitats consist of northern tallgrass prairie, prairie wetlands, maple-basswood forest, oak savannah, and mixed hardwood re-growth. The Refuge Visitor Center is wheelchair-accessible and an extensive 7-mile paved trail system allow for optimum wildlife observation and photography. There is a diverse combination of mammals, raptors, invertebrates, and over 100 species of migratory waterfowl and songbirds.

We are a Microbrewery and Taproom with Growler sales. We have a 5 barrel brewery onsite and there will be a minimum of eight beers on taps at any given time and tasting flights are highly encouraged.
