Camp Fire Minnesota provides a beautiful natural setting for group rentals, including meetings, retreats, galas, weddings, and other special events. Our 103-acre Excelsior property, located on Lake Minnewashta, is home to an abundance of wildlife and features Big Woods, natural prairie, pollinator garden, wetlands. Conveniently located in the southwest metro and bordered by Lake Minnewashta Regional Park, your guests will feel far up north and surrounded by nature.

Tamarack Resort

We are a small quiet resort with 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom housekeeping cabins. We have fishing boats, motors, canoes and pontoon boats for rent. We have several beaches and our own boat landing as well as a sauna by the lake. This is an ideal spot for relaxation and adventure with nature. Burntside Lake is one of the most scenic lakes in the area. We are a small, quiet, and private resort with completely furnished cabins ranging in size from an efficiency cabin that sleeps two people to a large four bedroom cabin that sleeps seven people.

Tamarack Nature Center

A 320-acre park preserve located within Bald Eagle-Otter Lakes Regional Park. Wood chipped paths, paved trails and boardwalks provide year-round access. In this diverse community you will find red fox, deer, woodcock, and other wildlife, as well as ever-changing seasonal foliage. The floating dock serves as a scenic overlook onto Tamarack Lake. Observation deck overlooks Teal Pond. Environmental education programs are available on many topics.

Tamarack Horse Campground and Day-Use Area

The campground is considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. In addition, vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water are available.
Tamarack Horse Campground offers 55 pull-through campsites, picket lines at each campsite, and manure bunkers. There is also a day-use rider parking lot and three picnic tables. Approximately 25 miles of horse trails exist within St. Croix State Forest.

Tamarac Resort & Campground LLC

We are the only resort on this beautiful clean and clear 1100 acre lake up to 69 feet deep with and inlet and a outlet. We offer a variety of fish from walleye, northern, crappie, blue gill, perch, and large mouth bass. TWO NEW cabins (sleeps 12) , and our original one bedroom are nestled among the tall pines, and dock space is included. Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge

This 43,000-acre National Wildlife Refuge hosts more than 250 species of birds and is a premier production site for trumpeter swans. Features nesting bald eagles, golden-winged warblers, otters, porcupine, wolves and more. A wildlife drive and visitor center offer spectacular vistas of marshes, trees and wildlife. A gift shop of wildlife books and locally made crafts serves as a fundraiser for educational programs and habitat enhancements. Enjoy hiking trails, historic sites, hunting & fishing.
