Muskego Point Resort

Muskego Point Resort is named after the Muskego tribe of the Chippewa who once occupied the site on the sun-bathed peninsula of the north shore on Vermilion’s Wake-em-up Narrows. Muskego has been renowned for generations as an exceptional family and fishing resort. While inaccessible by road, the resort is just a 2-minute boat ride from our south shore parking area. Isolated -Yes! - But readily accessible.

Muskego Lutheran Church

This 1843 log building survived a dismantling for its trip from Wisconsin to its home at Luther Theological Seminary. It is the first church built by Norwegian immigrants in America. Open for self-guided tours daily.

Music Box Theatre

The Music Box Theatre, located just outside of Downtown Minneapolis, has been a home for local, national and international entertainment since 1920. It is within walking distance of a multitude of dining options, ranging from fine dining to burgers, tacos to teppanyaki.

The Music Box Theatre was the original home of the highly-acclaimed comedy, Triple Espresso, which ran continuously at the theater from 1995-2008.

The theatre seats 437 people, split between a balcony level and main floor, and hosts a variety of entertainment year-round.

Music Association of Minnetonka

Association of Minnetonka has been offering the
opportunity to participate in choral and instrumental
ensembles, as well as to attend and enjoy free concerts
throughout the community since 1974. Now
celebrating our 41st season!

Museum of Natural History

The SMSU Museum of Natural History uses a multimedia approach to introduce visitors to the history of plants and animals, particularly those native to Minnesota. The Museum offers a variety of hands-on exhibits as well as two audio-visual plasma screens that present NASA images, data and environmental documentaries. Photographs by local residents and student class projects are also often featured on the plasma screens.

Murray County Historical Museum

Murray County Historical Museum has over 10,000 artifacts on display, interpreting the history of the region from the Paleo-Indian era to contemporary times. The museum complex includes four structures: the County Museum, the 1872 Wornson Log Cabin, the Sierk Agricultural Building, and the Dinehart Holt Historic House Museum. A research archive and library section contains 25,000 family files, county atlases, regional history books and county records. The 1891 Dinehart Holt Historic House Museum is available for tours during business hours and is also is available for event rentals.
