Lake Superior Sport Trolling

Veteran Owned Fishing launch/charter service and sightseeing cruises. 37' Sport Fisherman ("Rainbow's End") all fishing and safety equipment furnished. Located 13 miles up the North Shore from Duluth at the Knife River Marina and 7 miles from Two Harbors.

Fishing: departure times of 5 am to 7 am daily; sightseeing cruises: depart at 1 pm & 4 pm daily. A full time charter boat operation, open 7 days a week. This Charter Boat Captain has been in continuous operation since 1986.

Lake Superior Railroad Museum

Voted by USA Today as the "BEST Transportation Museum in America" The Lake Superior Railroad Museum is a family friendly destination for railroad enthusiasts and historians young and old.

The collection includes the world's most powerful steam locomotives (the Mallet), the first steam engine in Minnesota (the William A. Crooks), one of the nation's largest displays of dining car china, cabooses, freight cars, a railway post office and much more! The Museum is housed in the historic Union Depot in downtown Duluth, a building on the National Register of Historic Places.

Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center

Operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers, the most visited marine museum on the Great Lakes; exhibits and programs on upper lakes commercial shipping, Duluth Ship Canal and Aerial Bridge, three replica cabins and pilothouse from ships, two-story steam engine, 50 scale models and lots of interactive displays. 1,000-foot freighters pass within 200 feet of the building. Open daily throughout shipping season. Always FREE.

Lake Superior Helicopters offers you a birds eye view out of a helicopter in Duluth. Five different tours are available! By Reservation Only. A 1-2 week advanced booking is suggested to ensure a slot.

Lake Superior and Mississippi Railroad

The original LS&M built the first railroad into Duluth in the 1870's. The current LS&M reserves 5.2 miles of the this original railroad right-of-way into Duluth. The LS&M operates vintage railroad equipment to let the passenger experience rail transportation as it was in the early to middle 19th century. The LS&M is committed to providing the public with a historical and educational railroad experience.

Lake Shetek State Park

History and water abound in this park. The lake, Koch Cabin and monument to the Shetek settlers are points of interest. The interpretive trail out to Loon Island is scenic and gives facts about the area. 14 miles of hiking and 5 miles of snowmobile trails. Boats, canoes and kayaks are available for use on the lakes and along the canoe trail. Four camping cabins are available year round. The Casey Jones/Currie Loop State Trail is a 6 mile loop that connects Lake Shetek State Park and the nearby town of Currie.

Additional amenities: Extended stay off-season. Pets allowed off-season only, with prior permission. We have rooms for one to four people, three-bedroom suites with full kitchens for eight people, and for a couple our whirlpool suite. Your dog is welcome with prior approval.
Nice groomed beach. Swimming area is gradually sloping. Available for guests: campfires, beach volleyball, grilling facilities, coin laundry.
Rentable: pontoons, canoes, fishing boats, slips, boat lifts, ice fishing house, cribs.

Lake Sarah Farmers Union Park & Campground

This beautiful facility on Lake Sarah near Erskine, Minnesota has 2 spacious dorms that each sleep 35, large kitchen, meeting room, picnic shelters and campsites. One cabin available that sleeps five. This facility is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
