Maiden Shade Disc Golf course is designed with competitive spacious tees and greens with many elevation changes, water hazards, twisting throws and long open ones, both sun and shade. The shade is provided by this areas largest remaining Burr Oak trees. Our course has enough challenges to make you want to go another round or play all day. 21 baskets with cement pads and new holes being added spring of 2016.
Maiden Rock East: Seasonal camping at its best! This gated community is located along the Cannon River and Sakatah State Bike Trail. We offer Basketball, tether ball, volleyball, horseshoes, shuffle board, playgrounds and use of canoes. We offer large grassy sites with mature trees. We have open areas for gatherings with groups or to bring games from home. Overnight sites are available for family and friends of seasonal lease holders and include water and electric hookups. We do the mowing of the sites.

Located within the heart of old growth forest, the Magney-Snively ski trail system has 15.3 km of groomed classical and skating ski trails. Designed for intermediate to advanced skiers, the trails wind through rugged terrain, and are not recommended for beginner skiers. The Great Minnesota Ski Pass is required here. Ski rental is available at nearby Spirit Mountain Recreation Area.
Relatively easy 3-mile hiking trail to Magnetic Rock, a building-sized rock with supposed magnetic attraction, a relic of the glacier age. Bring a compass along to test magnetic attraction of the rock. Trail passes over bare rock, along a bog, and over Larch Creek. Look for signs of beaver and moose.
