Diamond Lake County Park

Diamond Lake County Park (formerly County Park #3) is located on the western shore of Diamond Lake and is known for its lunker walleye and scrappy northern. Diamond Lake County Park is approximately 4 miles north of Atwater or 6 miles southeast of Spicer. The park has 80 paved campsites-most with electricity.

Devilfish Lake Rustic Campground

Located in Grand Portage State Forest, managed by Judge Magney State Park. The campsites are considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. In addition vault toilets are available. Recreational activities include fishing, swimming, and hiking.

Detroit Mountain Recreation Area

Detroit Mountain is a 501(c)3 non-profit 4-Season Recreation Area in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

During the winter season Detroit Mountain is home to the SCHEELS Terrain Park which boasts many features and jumps to test the abilities of all Skier and Snowboarder types with its very own high speed tow rope. Detroit Mountain has 21 runs to explore with 2 triple chairlifts and 2 Magic Carpets in the Learn to Ski and Ride area featuring Terrain Based Learning.

Detroit Lakes Wetland Management District

Hiking, wildlife and nature study, cross country skiing, and wildlife photography are encouraged on these Waterfowl Production Areas. All motorized vehicles, including watercraft, snowmobiles, and all-terrain vehicles, are prohibited except in designated parking areas, on public roads, or by permit.

The Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center gives broad exposure to culture. Daypasses are available to The Backyard, a huge indoor playland, or swim in the state of the art aquatic center with an Olympic size lap pool, diving board, water slide, sauna, and hot tub.
