Hull Rust Mine View & Hibbing Tourist Senior Center

The world's largest open pit iron ore mine and a national historic landmark. You can view the working mine from the observation area in historic North Hibbing. Please call for group tours. The Hibbing Tourist Center Senior Citizens manages and operates the mine site. Site and gift shop open May 15th thru September 30th each year. Can be opened when not in season, please call for arrangements.

Hubbard County Historical Museum

Stop by Hubbard County's Historic Courthouse. The building has been restored and the names of the original offices still remain gilded on the doors. Permanent exhibits include Native American artifacts, farming and logging displays, quilts, a pioneer cabin and a one room school house. We also have a large collection of vintage clothing and Civil War memorabilia. Our collection grows everyday. We host special exhibits and tours. Visit us on your way to Itasca!

Hoyt Lakes Golf Course

This beautiful 9 hole, par 36 golf course stretches 3,202 yds. Cart rentals and two sets of tee boxes that give you a challenging 18 hole round. Hole #7 has a pariscope that allows you to view the blind green and a ship's bell sounds "all-clear" for following players.

Houston Nature Center

The Houston Nature Center functions both as a nature center and as the trail-head facility for the Root River Trail in Houston. Here you can tent camp, take a shower, enjoy our hands-on nature displays, walk through the prairie, take in a Saturday evening program during the summer, or enjoy our recycled bike art! Our one-acre Natural Playground is fun for kids of all ages and includes water, fossils, boulders, tunnels, caves, a labyrinth, and a free zipline available during Nature Center open hours if volunteer (you?) willing to operate.
