Crossings Art & Community Education Center

Set in the charming, 100-year-old space of the Carnegie library, Crossings Art & Community Education Center promotes the arts in Southeastern Minnesota. Our space upstairs hosts classes, music lessons, workshops, and live music, including a monthly Open Mic Night. The upstairs space is also available for event rental for your party or group event. 

Borderland Lodge

We are located on the Gunflint Trail on Gunflint Lake. It borders the USA and Canada with passage into the BWCAW. The lake is pure and deep and holds many trophy Walleye and Lake Trout.
Many hiking trails, horseback riding, canoeing and boating. Lakefront cabins and overnight or weekly rooms above the Lodge with a spectacular view overlooking the lake. Free continental breakfast served each morning.

Cross River Heritage Center

In 2008, the SAHS (Schroeder Area Historical Society) volunteers spent at least 1,000 recorded hours and 5,000 hours thinking, dreaming and creating the newly installed exhibit Mapping Schroeder Area History: 150 years and the exhibit Building Community 1915-1950: Homesteads, Roads and Resorts.

Cross Lake Recreation Area - ACOE

The Crosslake Recreation Area is best known for its picturesque sunsets, beautiful beaches and well-maintained campsites. Also known as the Ronald L. Cloutier Recreation Area, the campground provides a full menu of activities for camping enthusiasts.

The sizable campground has 121 campsites including 91 with electric hookups. Additional amenities include two accessible hot shower facilities, two boat ramps, a pay phone, several playground areas, boat beaching, 2 picnic shelters, dump stations and accessible fishing docks.

Crosby Memorial Park Campground

Camping along the shores of beautiful Serpent Lake. Our main street is only 2 blocks from the park. Great playground and skateboard park.

Today, the mines have closed and are filled with crystal-clear water, and the hills of overburden are covered in poplar and spruce. More than half our city is located within the 5,000 acre Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area, which has more than 24 miles of natural shoreline, seven miles of paved bike trail, and nearly 25 miles of world-class, IMBA certified mountain bike trails.

Crosby Farm/Hidden Falls Park

Crosby Farm and Hidden Falls Regional Park are located at the east bank of the Mississippi River in St. Paul. Hidden Falls begins 7 miles north of the Mississippi's confluence with the Minnesota River and continues south to Crosby Farm Park. A paved biking and hiking trail along the bluff provides good birding opportunities. Great egrets, belted kingfishers, herons and black-billed cuckoos are just some of the animals to look for. In the winter bald eagles can be found.
