This 15-acre park is located on the shores of both Pearl and Loon lakes. It is extremely interesting because of its combination of woodland and open space. A creek runs through the center of the park and serves as the outlet from Pearl Lake, which enters into Loon Lake. The newly renovated Brown County Historical Society Museum features three floors of exhibits. On the 1st floor of the museum is Becoming Brown County: The Land and its People, a new permanent exhibit. The 2nd floor features rotating exhibits, and a new child-friendly Explorer's Corner with hands-on activities. On the 3rd floor is the award-winning Never Shall I Forget exhibit about the U. S. - Dakota War of 1862. The museum also has a research library and archives, and a museum store with books and souvenirs for all ages.
