Slice of Shoreview

Annual festival held to celebrate life in Shoreview, MN. The "Slice", as it has come to be known, takes place over the last weekend of July and incorporates a wide variety of family-oriented activities including a carnival, parade, art and craft fair, food vendors, various displays and demonstrations, talent show, lots of entertainment and of course, Fireworks on Friday and Saturday night.

Synopsis:
Two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing have been secretly making wine to keep the convent’s doors open, but reporters are hot on their trail. They go undercover as a nun and priest, but their presence, combined with the addition of a new nun, spurs paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down. A comedy/farce to have all ages laughing.

ShamROC Ice Bowling

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early by attending the Annual ShamROC Ice Bowling event held at the ROC (Recreation Outdoor Center) in St. Louis Park! Gather your friends and family to form teams of 4 (ages 12+). Whether you’re a seasoned bowler or just in it for the laughs, the frozen green lanes will add a whole new level of challenge and excitement to the game! Bowl four frames to compete for some awesome prizes. Stick around for some music, food, drinks and fun!
Games take approximately 30 minutes. Cost is $50 per team of four. Register by March 12.

Sauerkraut Days

Henderson, Minnesota is home to Sauerkraut Days. A three day event that takes place during the last full weekend of June. Events include a Kraut Car Cruise, 5K Kraut Run, Tractor Ride, Kiddie Parade, Grand Parade, Championship Arm Wrestling, and the World Champion Sauerkraut eating contest.

The Winter Carnival continues to bring family-friendly events and community pride to Saint Paul and the Twin Cities metro area.

Dozens of free events, both traditional favorites and new attractions, will entertain those of all ages. Most events take place in downtown Saint Paul, in and around Rice Park and Landmark Center, as well as at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
