The Cliff Dweller is pleased to welcome you to the rugged beauty of Minnesota's North Shore. Enjoy with us magnificent Lake Superior. We are perched cliff side on the edge of the lake. Each room's walk-out balcony yields dramatic views. The whisper or roar of the waves on the rocks below will lull you to sleep. Relax and unwind. Let the lake work its magic.

All 22 comfortable guest rooms are tastefully decorated and feature sliding glass doors leading to individual balconies overlooking Lake Superior.

Cleary Lake Regional Park

Cleary Lake Regional Park in Scott County is one of the most popular recreation destinations in the southern metro area. The park features a nine-hole golf course, lakeside picnic pavilion, biking and hiking trails, swimming beach, off-leash pet exercise area and rustic campsites. In the winter, Cleary’s trails are lit for evening cross-country skiing and a "fat tire" trail with bike rentals is also available during the winter Rental equipment is available at the visitor center.

Clearwater Historic Lodge and Canoe Outfitters

Clearwater Outfitters is located mid-way up the Gunflint Trail north of Grand Marais on beautiful Clearwater Lake, just a mile south of the historic Voyager Canoe Route which created the boundary between the US and Canada. Designated entry point 62, we also provide shuttle service to all entry points along the Gunflint Trail (BWCA East). Our remote eastern section also know as “the other BWCA” is a particularly scenic one filled with spectacular bluffs, remote waterfalls and crystal-clear waters.

Clearwater Forest

Part of Presbyterian Clearwater Forest Camp and Retreat Center includes two incredible campgrounds available - Grouse Circle has 15 sites, 5 electric, 2 water, no sewer and adjacent bathhouse. Loon Point has 13 rustic sites located on the south side of Clearwater Lake.

Reservations required a minimum of 24 hours before arrival.

We are a family friendly, quiet sanctuary with over nine miles of hiking trails, 3.5 miles of shoreline on Clearwater Lake.

Boats are welcome, but must be launched at the public access on the north side of the lake.

Clearwater County Outfitters - Ice Shack Rental

Looking for your next Ice Fishing Adventure! Our Ice shacks are setup mainly for Crappie and Bluegills however it is very common to catch walleye, bass and northern in these same locations. Earlier in the season we do setup shacks for walleye however this is mainly a morning/evening bite. If you would like extra holes drilled for Tip-Ups let us know.

Ice Fishing Shack Day Rentals:
$200 Daily Rental; Shacks fish 2-4 guys; includes holes drilled and bait (Shacks will be setup for Crappie and Bluegills with multi-species common)

Clearwater County Historical Museum

1880s log schoolhouse, 1890s log cabin and 1936 WPA built schoolhouse; renovated 1911 Shevlin school now houses county museum. Small Great Northern Depot 1910. Exhibits changed yearly.

Clearbrook City Park

Pine, Balm, Clearwater and Bagley lakes all within 20 minutes of campground. Campground has a pavilion. Outdoor swimming at municipal pool - fee for use. Within walking distance of Main Street where you can shop while you listen to music.
