Return of the T

The Jordan Area Historical Society invites the public to join them as they welcome retired Air Force Colonel Jay Pearsall and wife, Debbie when they travel from their home in Williamsburg, Virginia to participate in the Model T International 68th Annual Tour held in Owatonna July 20-25. Jay and Debbie are making a special stop to bring their Model T touring car to the location of its purchase in 1919 at the C.H. Casey Stove Tin Hardware Store in Jordan, current home of Water Street Antique

Restored Prairie Hike

Take a hike around the restored prairie and see what Forestville looked like before it was incorporated. Learn about the importance of native prairie ecosystems in historic and modern context; includes identification of in-season plant prairie species.

Tours will be led by Sue Wiegrefe, a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding & Plant Genetics/Botany, with a Master's of Science in Ornamental Horticulture. Sue was an Assistant Professor of Horticulture at University of Wisconsin - River Falls.

Relay For Life of Central Minnesota

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the only Global walk that stands for every cancer while we walk for every life. Since 1985, communities across the world have come together to honor and remember loved ones and take action for lifesaving change.

Radio Nation Presents: A Tribute to 90's Alternative Rock

Radio Nation’s tribute to 90’s Alternative Rock will take you on a Nostalgic trip back to the mid-90’s to relieve and re-experience all your favorite songs! Whether you were in College, Grade School, or just loved the music of the 90’s this show will bring back some great memories. The Goo Goo Dolls, Weezer, The Wallflowers, Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20, Foo Fighters, No Doubt, Cranberries, Alanis Morrisette, and many more bands are featured in this fantastic show. Dig out the flannel and ripped jeans and sing along all night to these classics!

Queering Indigeneity

Celebrating the vision and diversity of 2-Spirit, Native queer, gender-expansive artists in the Upper Midwest, Queering Indigeneity offers a pathway for 2-Spirit cultural reclamation. The M’s multi-year partnership with Penny Kagigebi emphasizes intergenerational transfer of knowledge and mentoring. Community-guided collaboration paved the way for Queering Indigeneity, which responds to Kagigebi’s radical commitment to Indigenous practices that affirm 2-Spirit artists and the gifts they carry. 

Quadriga Starlight Tours

Take a guided tour of the restored State Capitol building and meet historical characters from the Capitol's history, then climb to the rooftop for a rare evening viewing of the gold-gilded Quadriga -the golden horses- against a backdrop of the lighted skylines of the Twin Cities.
