This workshop introduces students to honey bees and basic beekeeping practices. Topics inculde: honey bee biology, purchasing equipment, best management practices, honey production, and caring for healthy bees. Instructor Chris Schad is a master naturalist, former President of the Minnesota beekeepers association and an advisor ot the University of Minnesota Bee Squad. He'll share that experience to help you begin this amazing hobby.

A longtime Groveland artist, Stringer is a painter with a broad-ranging career in the arts. She returns with a new series of gouache and watercolor paintings, pivoting from her work in narrative illustration to present a looser, more lyrical visual language.

After noticing the lack of access to reading in the area, owner Gina Grinde opened Four Pines the June of 2021. Four Pines strives to create a space where books are read and where friends and families gather. They foster a love of reading in little ones, motivate middle grade and young adult readers, and nurture the needs of lifelong readers. The bookstore carries a variety of books but enjoys highlighting Minnesota and Indigenous authors.
