Get ready for an unforgettable summer as the Northwoods Arts Council proudly presents the Lakeside Concert Series in 2025! Every Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM, we’re bringing free live music to Hackensack and the surrounding communities for a season of fun, relaxation, and community connection. Whether you stroll, pedal, drive, or even float in by boat, come join us on the picturesque shores of Birch Lake for a magical evening of tunes, tasty picnics, and the best of local camaraderie.

Lake Superior Live Cruise with the Vista Fleet & Greg Tiburzi

Unwind on the water with Lake Superior Live, a casual weekday evening cruise featuring live local music, great views, and a relaxed BBQ-style dinner. Set sail aboard the Vista Fleet for a laid-back night of Duluth harbor sights and Superior breezes, with live music by singer-songwriter Greg Tiburzi.

Enjoy a classic BBQ dinner with pulled pork sandwiches, mac & cheese, chips, and a cookie—all included with your ticket. Weather permitting, we’ll cruise through the Duluth canal and Superior entry for a memorable evening on the lake.

Thursday markets June thru September down at beautiful Ohuta Beach featuring fresh produce, baked goods, live music, kids activities/PoP Club, food truck vendors and fun from 5-8 PM!
You can bet on fantastic local produce, baked goods, jams, honey, food vendors, live music, kids activities and information tables from local organizations. 

We will also accept EBT cards, and credit and debit cards, too. A down-home community gathering place every summer at Ohuta Beach, the Lake City Market by the Lake is the place to be.

"La Nuit Américaine" by Greg Graham

Groveland Gallery is pleased to present La Nuit Américaine, an exhibition of new gouache paintings by Greg Graham, opening Saturday, July 19, 2025. Graham grew up in Watervliet, New York. He received his BA and MA from the State University of New York at Albany, and his MFA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Graham has been the recipient of numerous awards, including grants from the Jerome Foundation and the Minnesota State Arts Board. He lives and works in Saint Paul.

Kevin Kling & Friends: Tales from the Charred Underbelly of the Yule Log

Kevin Kling, Dan Chouinard and Simone Perrin perform their celebrated holiday show, “Tales From the Charred Underbelly of the Yule Log.” Joined again by the ever-popular Brass Messengers, the show has been performed every year since 1995 and has become a holiday tradition for many.
