NICHOLAS LANIER was a true Renaissance man—singer, songwriter, lute player, painter, and first to hold the title of Master of the King’s Musick. He brought the newest sounds of Europe to 17th-century England, reshaping its musical language for generations. Now his story comes full circle in performances by his many-times-great grandson, LAMF artistic director JOHN TAYLOR WARD.

This is not a run-of-the-mill gala full of back-to-back speeches and videos - our goal is to focus on our kids and their stories of hope, joy, and wishes fulfilled.
