Women In Science: Studying diverse relationships with water in the Great Lakes region

Join us Thursday, March 20th from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM for a new event series: Women In Science ???‍??? 

This inaugural panel will focus on studying diverse relationships with water in the Great Lakes region with special appearances from local panelists as they discuss the impact of their science on our region and communities. 

Guests are invited to participate in this panel discussion as well as explore the Aquarium’s exhibit floor before and after presentations. 

Wizard of Oz

We’re off to see the Wizard! In search of their deepest desires – a brain for the scarecrow, a heart for the Tinman, courage for the Cowardly Lion, and the way back home to Kansas for Dorothy…and Toto, too – they meet the Wicked Witch, the Wizard, and more as they follow the yellow brick road through colorful world of Oz.

Winter Wonderama

This annual event is being hosted by the Aitkin Area Chamber of Commerce and is free to the public. It will be hosted at Aitkin City Park's new Warming House to celebrate its opening from 3pm-6pm on February 8th, 2025.

This festive celebration features a variety of winter activities:

Winter Formal: Masquerade Ball with River City Dancers

Cost of admission includes the optional dance lesson (Tango and Waltz) from 7:00pm-8:00pm.Ballroom dance is from 8:00pm-10:30pm.
General: $15
Students: $10
Music is lively – Dances are smoke-free – No dance experience required – Couples and singles of all ages welcome!

Winter Carnival Fire and Ice Winter Run

It’s cold outside, which can mean only one thing – it’s race time!

Gather up your thermal underwear and neck warmers and start training today for this annual event! Runners will have the opportunity to participate in a NoK (pay to not run), 5K, 10K, 15K, 20K and Kid's Run.

Winona State Game Day Experience

Starting 2 hours before home football games, the Warrior Game Day Experience is an outdoor party at the intersection of Johnson and Mark streets.

At these family-friendly events open to students and the community, you can:

  • connect with friends and neighbors
  • grab some food from local food trucks
  • enjoy music, contests, inflatables, and other activities
  • get pumped up with fellow Warrior fans to cheer our team on to victory
