The Kolshorn lecture series was established in 1982 to honor Otto W. Kolshorn. Otto Kolshorn was a farmer, teacher, school board member, and Justice-of-the Peace from Goodhue County, Minnesota, who served five terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

The Girlhood (It’s complicated) exhibit is now on view at the Minnesota History Center. Showcasing interactive displays, media components, and over 100 objects from the Smithsonian Institution collection, the exhibit explores how young women have continuously influenced politics, education, work, health, and fashion.
To celebrate the exhibit coming to Saint Paul, the Minnesota History Center has partnered with the Saint Paul Public Library to host a series of book clubs featuring Minnesota authors who write books about girls.
