River Keepers Monthly Volunteer Series: SDMP in Moorhead

Join us for our August Monthly Volunteer Series! Participate in our Storm Drain Marking Program. Help us mark storm drains with markers that say, "No Dumping, Drains to River" and hand out door hangers to nearby residents to reduce storm water pollution going to the Red River. This project is sponsored by the City of Moorhead.

Radio Nation Presents: 90’s One Hit Wonders

Radio Nation presents “90’s One Hit Wonders: Mixtape Magic”  the ultimate throwback party to all those nostalgic hits! Mixtape Magic is a high-energy tribute concert celebrating the catchiest one-hit wonders of the 1990s. From dance floor anthems to alt-rock jams and guilty pleasures you still know by heart! Dust off your Discman and crank up the nostalgia; One Night, All Hits, No Skips.

Pottery Day

In this "make and take" program, visitors can try their hand at building a pinch pot with various tools based on prehistoric examples. Attendees will be able work with cord-wrapped sticks, cord-wrapped paddles, and smoothing stones to shape and decorate a pot inspired by our historic examples. Cost is included in regular site admission.

Photography & Art at the Rock: Mark Ellis

Photography & Art at the Rock is a monthly exhibit at Split Rock Lighthouse showcasing local artists and photographers whose work celebrates the natural beauty of Minnesota’s North Shore and beyond.

Party on Prentice, Meander Friday Night

October 3, 2025 - Granite Falls celebrates the first night of the annual Meander Art Crawl Inspired by the beautiful new welcoming mural on the side of the K.K. Berge Building, this event is about celebrating our future! 6 - 10 PM Enjoy a progressive party on Prentice St. in downtown Granite Falls with Happy Hour on the Footbridge followed by multiple stops for food, drinks, art and live music by our young musicians. 

Paint the Prairie Workshop

Join us at Jeffers Petroglyphs for the Paint the Prairie workshop with Artist Michelle Koppien. Guests will learn the one stroke painting technique and have a chance to paint their own prairie flowers! Michelle is a local Southern Minnesota Artist and Art Educator, residing near Sanborn. She does drawing, painting, jewelry making, and teaches classes in the area.

Nighttime Neighbors Field Trip

This program will be all about bats: the global diversity, their conservation needs, how to support bats, and we will even spend some time “listening” for bats out and about at dusk. There will be an indoor and outdoor component to this field trip. Field Trip attendance is free for members (those who have donated $25 or more within the past year). If you are interested in membership, the $25 fee covers membership and free entry to any field trip or program in a 12-month period!

Kevin Kling & Friends: The Love Show

Saturday night and the weight of the week has eased up, you have all of Sunday to repent and/or sleep it off. The floor is lit, your shoes are platformed, your bottoms are belled and even though your suit is called a leisure, you still gotta work it. So, squeeze your shag, afro or mullet into that muscle car and boogie on down to St. Kate’s because Valentine’s Day this year,… IT’S SATURDAY NIGHT!
