Trick or Treetops

Join us for a SPOOKTACULAR event! Traverse your way through wooden and wire elements 30 feet in the air and end with a zip line and a bag of Halloween candy! Warm up by the fire with hot chocolate and s'mores. Costumes are encouraged!

When registering, the time slot you choose will be your start time (available for up to 16 people at a time). Please plan to arrive on time, if you arrive after your time slot, no refunds will be given but if possible we will attempt to put you into the next open slot.

Theatre Elision presents: GHOST QUARTET

Welcome to Theatre Elision’s sixth year presenting Ghost Quartet, a Twin Cities spooky tradition! Ghost Quartet is a song cycle about love, death and whiskey from Dave Malloy, the Tony-nominated creator of the Broadway hit “Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812.” A camera breaks and four friends drink in an interwoven tale spanning seven centuries, with a murderous sister, a treehouse astronomer, a bear, a subway, and the ghost of Thelonious Monk.

Raw Stages: New Works Festival

Take part in a new script’s first brave steps from the page to the stage!

RAW STAGES: New Works Festival is YOUR chance to be involved from the beginning as we develop new plays and musicals just for you. Staged readings of works-in-progress are part of the fall 2024 festival; following the readings audiences are invited to participate in lively discussions aimed at advancing the work. Salons are new this year and will delve deeper into new play development and new works created around the Twin Cities. Come and be a part of the magic!

Photography & Art at the Rock: Featuring Kris Kieper

Photography & Art at the Rock, a monthly exhibit in the lobby of the Split Rock Lighthouse Visitor Center that showcases local artists, landscape and wildlife photographers of the area.

For the month of October our featured artist is Kris Kieper.

Kris is a needle felting fiber artist and wilderness enthusiast inspired to capture and represent the beauty of the natural world. She focuses on Northern Minnesota landscapes and themes of sunsets, weather, night skies, water, and trees.

Studio Crawl

Gather your friends and family and tour the studios of Fargo-Moorhead’s arts community during the FM Visual Artists’ free Studio Crawl—October 4 and 5, 2025, noon to 6 p.m. Established artists, group studios, and student artists will open their doors to you and demonstrate their work.

A brochure is available in handy-to-hold form at Plains Art Museum, Rourke Art Gallery, grocery stores, coffee shops, and from any of the participating artists.

Fall Fest

Celebrate the season at our annual Fall Fest! Join us for a spooktacular day of fun with activities for the whole family. Dress up in your favorite costume and participate in our costume contest with great prizes for the winners. Get your bikes decked out in Halloween spirit and join our costume bike parade around Crosby. Participate in the medallion hunt around town. And don't forget to bring your trick-or-treat bags for our trunk-or-treating event, where you'll go around the park collecting delicious treats.

Ely Dark Sky Festival

JOIN US IN CELEBRATING OUR INCREDIBLE DARK NIGHT SKIES!

This two-day winter festival is packed with a variety of indoor and outdoor events hosted by area organizations. Learn about astronomy, astrophotography, winter recreation and the wonders of the Northern night sky. Follow the festival on Facebook for updates!

WildFest

Rosedale Center is excited to host the Minnesota Wild WildFest, a 3 on 3 outdoor road hockey festival open to all! Take the essence of Hockey, the integration of real rinks, the support of official referees and a festival atmosphere and you get the largest Road Hockey Tournament in North America! WildFest is a custom, local festival and athletic tournament all in one.
