Carey Lake Cross Country Skiing Challenge

The Carey Lake Ski Challenge will be held February 15, 2025. We are located in Hibbing, MN right in the heart of the Iron Range. We're so excited to be adding a lake loop to the classic and skate course!

You'll see a few exciting changes happening out at Carey Lake!

Cabernet Cabaret!

Enjoy a three course dinner and cabaret show featuring our community choir, Unexpected Company Chorale! The doors open at 6:00 pm. Dinner starts at 6:30 pm, and the entertainment starts at 7:15 pm. The cost is $100 to $120 per person and all proceeds go toward the choir's trip to Sweden in May! This is the perfect way to enjoy an evening at Winehaven with your love while supporting your local community! 

C.J. Chenier & The Red Hot Louisiana Band

Clayton Joseph Chenier is Creole music royalty. His father, the legendary Clifton Chenier, invented the style of music we know today as Zydeco. Moreover, Clifton is the first Creole musician to be recognized with a Grammy Award. Raised in this indigenous American culture with its own distinctive language, cuisine and music, C.J. delivers soulful vocals along with jaw-dropping masterful accordion-driven rock, Zydeco and blues. C.J. spent his childhood in the tough tenement housing projects of Port Arthur, Texas. C.J.

Join us at the Olde Pine Theatre for a re-creation of the February 2nd, 1959 Winter Dance Party.In January, 1959, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, J.P. “The Big Bopper”, Dion and the Belmonts, Frankie Sardo, Waylon Jennings, Tommy Allsup and Carl Bunch set out on a 24 day tour barnstorming the Midwest. It became the most infamous tour in rock ‘n roll history.
