Dan and Sandy Adler are the founders of Heart of the City Ministries and head up the Heart of the City Music Factory in Anoka, MN. For all of their 40 years of marriage they have been performing and recording both on their own and with their multi-ethnic, Heart of the City Band, utilizing a variety of diverse songs that Dan has written and they’ve recorded on 15 albums over the years.

Celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month with this live-music event honoring some of Minnesota’s most notable jazz legends, hosted by Jazz88 host and award-winning vocalist Patty Peterson.

In partnership with Jazz88, the Minnesota History Center, and the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, Patty Peterson presents Minnesota Jazz Legends—an event recognizing the pioneers of the Twin Cities jazz scene through concerts and radio specials.

Historic Finishes Analysis Workshop: Foundations and Hands-On Instruction for Preservation Professionals

Join us for a workshop for preservation professionals. Eileen Grogan, the director of historic preservation for Conrad Schmitt Studios, will explore the process of Historic Finish Analysis. Participants will receive foundational knowledge on the history and process of historic finish analysis, with hands-on instruction on taking samples, working with specialists to determine what historic finishes are present in historic structures, and using the results of a historic finish analysis.
