River Walk Tours

Rivers are constantly changing! We invite you to explore the environmental and cultural changes along the Minnesota River by taking a walk along the river in Mendota, MN. You will hear stories of the people who have passed along the river through history, examine the natural communities along the river, and find evidence of natural and human caused changes in the river bottom. You may even see migrating birds amidst autumn’s changing colors! The walk is approximately one mile along a fairly flat, unpaved dirt trail. Pre-registration is required, space is limited.
