River End A-Frame in Emily, MN

Welcome to Emily, Minnesota, where the River End A-Frame is nestled on 40 acres of pristine Northern Minnesota land and located directly on the Pine River. Located about 10 minutes outside of Emily, MN and 20 minutes to Crosslake, MN, this unique A-Frame cabin has all of the essential amenities while still offering the true 'Northwoods' experience.

Intuition Brewing

Intuition opened in December of 2023 and has a brewery + taproom in Downtown Willmar. We are a product of following our Intuition and allowing the path to unfold. We provide a variety of beer on a 5 barrel brewing system.

Not only does Intuition have a goal of always producing quality beer, but also a mission of creating an inclusive environment where all people can show up and be seen for who they are.

Cree Bay Cabin

Welcome to the Cabin on Cree Bay in the hearts of Minnesota's vacationland! 

Cree Bay opens up to the prestigious Pelican Lake, offering endless opportunities for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Please note that while we do not offer a boat slip on-site, a public launch is conveniently located nearby.

Lac Qui Parle Candlelight Hike

Hike by candlelight at Lac qui Parle State Park on January 3rd.

Minnesota state parks and trails will host candlelight events across the state this winter, including one at Lac qui Parle State Park on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026. Drop by any time between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm for hiking as stars twinkle overhead and candles flicker in the snow.

Candlelight Trails at Fort Ridgely State Park

Fort Ridgely will hold its annual Candlelight Hike on January 31, 2026. As conditions allow, two looped trails will be open - one hilly and 1 mile in length, the second flatter and .75 mile in length. Snowshoers and skiers are welcome to bring their own equipment. Hot cocoa will be available at the chalet. The main trails start at the chalet, but if parking fills up there please park at the picnic area. If wind chills are forecasted at -15 degrees or below, or if trail conditions are too icy, the hike will be canceled. Event updates will be posted on the park's main website.

Winter's Glow Candlelight Snowshoe

Experience the magic of a winter evening on a serene snowshoe walk along the Old Caribou Camp Trail illuminated by the soft glow of candlelight. Wander in peace under the starlit sky, surrounded by the quiet beauty of nature in winter. This enchanting woodland experience is perfect for all skill levels, providing a unique way to enjoy the season's tranquility.

Bring your own snowshoes or a limited number will be available to borrow, including children's sizes.

After your walk, warm up by a cozy campfire and enjoy some refreshments.

Candlelight Event - Nerstrand

Grab your warmest winter boots and snowshoes to experience the beauty of Nerstrand Big Woods State Park by candlelight! Complete your night by warming up next to a bonfire with some hot chocolate or cider provided by the Friends of Nerstrand Big Woods State Park. A limited number of snowshoes are available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is held outside, so dress for winter weather. Extreme cold or unsafe weather conditions may result in the cancellation of this event. 

Gooseberry Falls Candlelight Event

Join us for a special evening of winter fun at Gooseberry Falls State Park for an unforgettable experience skiing, snowshoeing, or hiking. Begin at the Visitor Center and follow glowing luminaries along the trail. A bonfire and marshmallows await at the Lady Slipper Amphitheater and hot beverages and cookies are available at the Visitor Center. Traction devices are recommended as trail conditions may be icy. Free parking is available at the wayside rest, near the visitor center.
