Voyageurs National Park is a water-based park with 218,054 acres and more than 1/3 of that acreage is water. The park consists of four large lakes and 26 smaller interior lakes. Vacation opportunities range from resorts with lakeside cabins to houseboats or camping on secluded islands. Voyageurs National Park has over 270 Frontcountry and Backcountry tent camping, houseboat, or day use sites. Overnight sites have been developed for a single party with tent pads, fire ring, picnic table, privy, and bear-proof food lockers.
