The Upper St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam will open to the public for the 2023 summer season on Memorial Day Weekend.
The lock wall will be open to the public from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday- Sunday from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Last entrance will be at 4:45 PM.
Free ranger led tours of the lock and dam are offered daily at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Learn about the the lock and dam, St. Anthony Falls, and milling. Tours are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participants will have an interpreter-guided experience to interact with the tools and objects of the daily life of the people of the prairie.

For kids going into 3-5th grade in the fall. Ahoy, Matey! Join our crew on a nature adventure. Solve riddles, navigate through unknown terrain, and work as a team in search of a treasure fit for a pirate king!
For kids going into K-2nd grade in the fall. Prepare to be inspired by nature in this camp for art lovers. Campers will explore River Bend and partake in a variety of craft projects. Expect to bring home some great art and incredible memories.
For children going into 3rd-5th grade in the fall. Start summer off with a full belly as we explore everything there is to know about food. From growing crops to eating our favorite meals to fighting food waste, this two-day camp will teach you everything there is to know about the things we eat!
Have a roaring good time as we learn all about dinosaurs! Campers will take a trip back in time, as they uncover a world that was once full of these amazing creatures.

Join us as we dig through dirt, splash in ponds and flip over rocks and logs to uncover some of the amazing creepy crawlies that call River Bend Nature Center home. This two-day camp will be filled with adventure, investigation, and a lot of fun! Come prepared to get a little dirty!
