Fat Forest Fourteen

This is a winter fat tire bike race open to all riders. There are 7, 14, and 21-mile courses to choose from. There will be awards and post-race events. A great way to spend a winter day!

Couples Turkey Throw

This will be a double-elimination, couples, axe throwing tournament.
The grand prize will be a family-size Thanksgiving turkey.
Additional door prizes will also be presented.

Arabella Marketplace

11th annual community event with 35 quality crafters, small business owners, and direct sales reps. Most are local too! Prize drawing at each booth.
Coffee, cider, and cookies provided by Arabella Manor.

Tioga Beach

Tioga Beach is a public sandy beach along the shores of Pokegama Lake. Tioga beach offers a beautiful setting for swimming, picnicking, and fishing off of the pier, all of which are handicap accessible. In addition Tioga Beach has two pavilions (which may be rented or used first-come first-served), a playground, grills, bathrooms, water, and electric hook ups. Nearby multi use trails and a boat access offer additional recreational activities. No lifeguard on duty; swim at your own risk.

Blackwater Environmental Area

The Blackwater Environmental Area is owned by Minnesota Power and is managed for outdoor recreation use by both MN Power and the City of Cohasset. The area is open year-round and offers lighted ski trails in the winter.

Winter Artist Showcase

Make your home and loved ones feel special and support local artists at the same time! The Winter Artist Showcase runs November 19 through January 27 in the Anderson Center Main Gallery and features a wide range of decorative and functional work with something for everyone, including ceramics, paintings, jewelry, and more.

Two Thanksgiving Radio Shows

Lakes Area Theatre is recreating two Thanksgiving radio stories from the 1950’s. Father Knows Best and Our Miss Brooks. Let’s look back to Thanksgiving in the 1950’s. Okay, it’s really about the humor. These stories are wonder and fun.

Tower View Holiday Home Tour

Celebrate the season with the Anderson Center's annual Holiday Home Tour December 3rd and December 7th - 10th. Guided tours depart at select times each day. Lovingly decorated for the holiday season by local designers and businesses, the Tower View Residence was built in 1916-1917 by A.P. and Lydia Anderson. The Holiday Home Tour is the only opportunity for the general public tour this landmark home!
 

Sorry! Wrong Chimney

Sorry! Wrong Chimney – David Tuttle is moonlighting as a department store Santa so that he can buy his wife a fur for Christmas. He tells her he’s working late at the office, but she finds out he isn’t at the office. A suspected other woman, hypnotism, the notorious Santa burglar Kris Kreigle and his gun-toting fiancée, and a confused policeman add up to a rollicking tale that is hilarious Christmas entertainment any time of year.
