About
Located on Lake Independence, Baker Park Reserve's 2,700 acres offer diverse outdoor activities in natural surroundings. You can golf at Baker National Golf Course, explore a creative play area, picnic and swim, or bicycle on paved trails that wind through meadows and forest. Visit for the day, stay overnight in the campground or plan a retreat to the Baker Near-Wilderness Settlement, a secluded log-cabin village. In the winter, the park offers 12.9K of cross-country ski trails.
203 sites, including 98 with electricity. Rental cabins also available. Showers and flush toilets (wheel chair accessible). RV dump station. Trails, beach, picnic and play areas provide recreation.
Five 12’x16’ cabins, each featuring a screened-in porch and furnished with a table, benches and wooden bunk beds with mattresses. Equipped with electricity, heat, overhead lighting, ceiling fans and outlets. Located near a modern restroom facility that includes showers, changing rooms and dishwashing sinks. A drinking fountain and water spigot are located near the restroom facility.
Three cabins sleep up to six people. Two cabins sleep five and are accessible for people with disabilities.
Dates
5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Ski Pass required 12 and older from Dec. 1 through March 31.
Rates
$7.50 fee for advanced reservations required. There is no reservation fee for drop in campers. Free parking. $6 boat trailer parking pass required, or $45 season boat trailer pass. Winter: Three Rivers Park District ski pass required. $6 Daily Ski Pass; $
