About
Carlos Creek Winery is located on 160 acres in the heart of the Alexandria Lakes area in Minnesota's first Federally Approved Viticultural Area (AVA).
Ole & Spike, great Uncles of Carlos Creek owner Kim, were the first winemakers in the Bredeson family - perhaps the first in Minnesota! Legend has it they made wine in their bathtub from any produce they could spare. Today, we use a combination of ancient and modern techniques to produce our award-winning Minnesota wines.
Our Minnesota Nice wines: Hot Dish Red, Wobegon White and You Betcha Blush are made from ultra cold hearty grapes and are designed to pair with some of the foods Minnesotans love best. Each Fall, we celebrate the grape harvest with our annual Grape Stomp - a festival that attracts over 15,000 attendees each year. We look forward to your visit!
Open all year - 7 days a week, with free daily tours, live music every weekend and a great selection of locally produced cheeses, meats, breads & more available at the MN Nice Deli!

Excellent tour. Bruce was so knowledgeable, friendly. A must-do when in Alexandria area. We stayed to listen to live music, a very enjoyable experience.
