The name DeCorsa was taken from DeCoursey and in Italian the corsa means journey. It has been a ride!
The dream of the vineyard was started in 2009 with the planting of 150 grapes. We have been adding grapes and working on buildings each year.We use no herbicides, cultivating instead; trellises are constructed of locally harvested tamarack, white oak, and cedar posts, not treated. We are totally off the grid making our own electric 12 volt with solar and wind, and pumping water with the wind using gravity to supply the winery and irrigate the vineyard.
