Dr Johann C Hvoslef WMA
About
The wildlife management area was dedicated to Dr. Johann Hvoslef, a country doctor who worked in Lanesboro at the turn of the century. The land has a large meadow, numerous wildflowers, hardwood forests, bluffs, and a trout stream. Broad-winged hawks, turkey vultures, wild turkeys, and eastern meadowlarks, can be found. This site also is great for viewing migrating warblers, as well as many year-round songbirds including the uncommon Louisiana Waterthrush
