Golden Eagle Lodge - Resort, Campground, & Nordic Ski Center
About
Golden Eagle Lodge is the only resort & resident on the quiet shores of Flour Lake. We offer 10 lakefront cabins and 9 private campsites, each with water/electric hookups. Located approximately halfway up the Gunflint Trail, north of Grand Marais, outdoor adventures can begin right at your front door.
All our cabins are modern housekeeping cabins, each with a fireplace, deck and/or porch, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, and a private dock. All cabins are spaced for privacy. Pet friendly cabins available.
Our 9 site campground can accommodate both tents and RV’s/trailers. Each site has water & electric hook ups (20, 30, 50 amp), a picnic table, and a fire ring. Sites sit among pine, birch and aspen trees, well spaced to allow for privacy. Back-in and pull-through sites available. A heated bath house with hot showers & dump station also on site.
During the winter season, we are a Cross Country Ski Resort, jointly operating the Central Gunflint Ski Trail system, a network of over 70k of ski trails! We are nationally renowned for having some of the finest cross-country ski trails in the Midwest. Trailheads begin right on resort grounds and are tracked for traditional and skate skiing.
Sorry...no Snowmobiles or jet skis allowed, no exceptions.
