Few people are lucky enough to see these nocturnal raptors in the wild, but everyone can see live owls at the International Owl Center. Not only can you meet the owl ambassadors, you can feel how soft an owl wing is, explore owl art from around the world, find out more about the language of the Great Horned Owl, learn how to identify owls by their calls, and experience a stunning collection of mounted owls. The gift shop will tempt you with everything from plush owl puppets to locally made owl art.
While you're visiting Houston be sure to look around town for the Parade of Owls permanent public art tour and the colorful owl street banners made by children from around the world, as well as the Natural Playground, Root River Trail, and Root River.
