The River Haus is located in the beautiful St. Croix River Valley between Stillwater and Taylors Falls. Tucked in the woods on 59 acres with a 3/4 mile long private drive, it offers complete privacy with access to the St. Croix River, a dock, and walking trails. Built in the 1930s, the cabin has maintained its original wonderful charm with vaulted ceilings, wood beams, and wood floors. It has 6 bedrooms and three baths. Find peace and privacy at the River Haus Retreat surrounded by trees and nature. You can enjoy the view of the St Croix River while relaxing on the deck or to see the river up close you can walk 3/10 of a mile down the private river road to 1200 feet of riverfront on the property. You can also hike and explore the wooded acres. Indoors, curl up and read a selection from one of the many books from our library, play cards, board games, or spend an evening enjoying a bonfire at the outdoor fire pit making s'mores. The River Haus is approximately 40-45 minutes from downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis. With a short drive you can also access downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, kayak rental trips, water parks, paddleboat rides, biking trails and paths, a sculpture park, train rides, historical sites, festivals wineries, state parks, trails shops and wonderful dining options. Summer, fall, winter, spring there is something for everyone.
