Way of the Wilderness offers the best circle route location with access to both the paddle only portion of Seagull Lake and the Canadian Border lake, Saganaga. Way of the Wilderness is a full service outfitter providing complete and partial outfitting with the finest in equipment. Other services include a Cafe serving 3 meals everyday, tow service, deluxe bunkhouses, showers, trading post, friendly competent advice and free parking for our guests.Way of the Wilderness is owned and operated by Bud and Mark Darling. Bud has over 50 years of experience planning and leading canoe trips. Mark was raised and lives all year on the Gunflint Trail. Bud and Mark have backgrounds in service to people and in canoeing that few can equal. You will find them to be friendly, dedicated to the preservation of the wilderness area, and helpful in making your canoe trip a rewarding and memorable experience.We are located at the very end of the Gunflint Trail adjacent to the U.S. Forest Service Trails End Campground.
