Rates

  • No fees or permits are required to hike on the trail or to use the shared backcountry campsites. Minnesota State Park passes are required to park at most state parks. Check the "Guide to the Superior Hiking Trail" for information on overnight parking.

  • The Superior Hiking Trail Association Trail Information Center and office is located at 731 Seventh Ave., Suite 2, Two Harbors, MN 55616. Look for signs on Highway 61 as you pass through Two Harbors -- you can't miss it!

Other Date Information

  • The SHTA Trail Information Center is open mid-April through mid-October. Hours: 10am-4:30pm. The SHTA Office operates year-round, but is not open to the public.
