Why and How Can We Save Cultural Heritage? Virtual or in person

What is cultural heritage and why is it important? Learn more about the importance of local heritage conservation and preservation in Rochester, MN. Hélène Genéty will look at how the French are renovating the Notre Dame Cathedral, a project that she helped work on, and how those lessons can be applied here in Southeastern Minnesota. This program is offered both in person or virtually so be sure to choose the ticket that fits you best.

Valentine's Weekend Walking Gangster Tours of Saint Paul

Enjoy a 75-minute stroll with your entertaining guide...exploring Saint Paul's dark past.  Learn about the big name criminals like John Dillinger, who came to our city to hide from the Feds and do business.  Dip in and out of buildings, skyways and along city streets to get the inside scoop on what brought crooks to Saint Paul.  Most of the tour is inside but come dressed for both in and out.  $20 per person. Reservations required.  Masking is currently mandatory while indoors in Saint Paul.  Arrive a few minutes early to check in.

Star Party: Astronomy with Other Senses

Come to the Bell Museum to see, feel, and hear the stars and other cosmic objects. Out on our roof deck, we’ll have our telescopes set up to observe the Moon and some of our favorite deep space objects (weather dependent). Inside you can see and hear the wonders of our planetary neighborhood in the planetarium show Audio Universe: Tour of the Solar System. Inside we’ll have tactile panels from NASA and other hands-on activities that let you feel the universe.
