Red Rock Center for the Arts

This beautiful 1898 historic building known as the Red Rock Center for the Arts is operated by the Martin County Preservation Association, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Red Rock Center for the Arts is proud to display a wide variety of fine art from emerging to experienced artists. A new visual artist is featured every month, and viewing is always free of charge. Red Rock Center for the Arts also features a local performer free of charge the second Tuesday of every month during our noon Lunch with the Arts program.

Red Lake WMA

The forest and bog habitat of Red Lake Wildlife Management Area is home to boreal and bushland species of animals, including deer, bear, wolves, ruffed and spruce grouse, black-backed woodpeckers, and Connecticut warblers. This is a great area for birdwatching, berry picking, canoeing, and hiking. There are approximately 50-60 miles of walking trails. Maps are available on the internet site.

Red Lake Peatland SNA

The Red Lake Peatland contains the largest and most diversely patterned peatland in the United States. The 87,580 acres provides habitat for the Eastern timber wolf, bobcats, southern bog lemmings, short-eared owl, yellow rail, Wilson's phalarope, and the greater sandhill crane. There are approximately 110 bird species found in the peatland.
