CURTAINS the Musical

Robbin' Hood of the Old West, a bad Western adaptation of the Robin Hood story is reaching its conclusion. The egregiously untalented leading lady, Jessica Cranshaw is a triple threat: she can't sing, act, or dance (or remember when to say her lines). To the relief of everyone, she is murdered during her opening night curtain call. The entire company comes under suspicion, and Lt. Frank Cioffi of the Boston Police Department is called in to solve the homicide. Believing that the perpetrator is still in the building, he sequesters it.

Cinderella

Metropolitan Ballet presents Cinderella, the timeless, classic fairytale that has captivated generations. The lighthearted ballet tells the triumphant story of a young girl who encounters a magical transformation with a little help from her Fairy Godmother. Dazzling ballroom scenes, riotous stepsisters and romance with a twist of humor, Erik Sanborn’s choreography pairs delightfully with the intriguing original music of Sergei Prokofiev. Enchanting for all ages, Cinderella reminds us that dreams really can come true.

Water Ski Days

Held the last full weekend in June, Water Ski Days celebrates the invention of water skiing in Lake City, and its inventor, Ralph Samuelson. In 1922, the local teen took a homemade pair of skis and his daredevil determination and got behind a boat on Lake Pepin to make history!

This city-wide event has something for everyone! A carnival, complete with rides and games, an arts and crafts fair with 100+ vendors, a grand parade, classic car show, food trucks, huge concerts, and of course, a weekend filled with water skiing programming.
