South Isle Family Campground is located 2 miles South of Lake Mille Lacs in East Central Minnesota. We offer family oriented camping and activities for young and old alike. Our facilities include a heated pool, large playground, fishing pond for children, Rainbow Express Train rides, wagon rides, frisbee golf, shuffle board, wifi to your site and more. In addition, Fiddlestix Golf Course is located directly across the road for those who enjoy golfing and Lake Mille Lacs is only 2 miles away. Mille Lacs Lake, Minnesota's premier walleye lake, is located 2 miles from the campground.
Opened in 1998 as an 18 hole course. South Fork Golf Club has over the years become the home course for golfers seeking a tranquil round of golf. With new ownership this year we have regained our visually-stunning golf course that has preserved much of the natural vegetation of the Minnesota countryside. The impressive course conditions make South Fork Golf Club an absolute pleasure to play no matter the time or day.
Our location is Historic Old City Hall in the Historic Arts & Theatre District of downtown Duluth. Five miles of trails curve and twist through a landscape of northern hardwoods. The highlight is the pit, where piles of materials and steep rims are ideal for climbing and scrambling practice. Many routes are recommended for more experienced riders. The Soo Pits Trail is accessible off the Soo Line South Trail.
11 mi paved trail between Onamia and Isle. Passes through the village of Wahkon and meanders by forests, farmland and wetlands. Two state parks, Father Hennepin & Mille Lacs Kathio, are easily accessible from the trail via low traffic roads. Points of interest along the trail include the "Ellen Ruth," a former Mille Lacs Lake launch, on exhibit one block from the trail. Biking, hiking. New overpass bridge crosses Hwy 169.
Following an abandoned railroad grade, the Soo Line South Trail travels through farmlands, wetlands and woodlands. Many communities along the trail are ATV-friendly, allowing travel on posted roads with city limits.
Following an abandoned railroad grade, the Soo Line North Trail is relatively flat with gentle, sweeping curves and travels through hardwood forests dotted with ponds. The trail connects with the Soo Line South Trail near the City of Moose Lake. Many communities along the trail are ATV/OHM-friendly, allowing travel on posted roads within city limits.
The trail includes the towns of Shovel Lake, Swatara, Palisade, McGregor, Lawler, Moose Lake, and Remer.

The Solana Loop is a scenic 15-mile detour off the well-traveled Soo Line South Trail, passing through the beautiful Solana State Forest. Level terrain opens to occasional rolling hills while winding through stands of mature oak trees.
