Sandy Point Park

This 24-acre park, located in rich farm country, is on the west shore of South Heron Lake. Heron lake is a very unique body of water totaling over 8,000 acres which provides on of the best waterfowl production areas in the state, as well as many recreational opportunities. The park provides an excellent area to observe shore birds, white pelicans, Canadian geese, and many other species of waterfowl. To enhance the attractiveness of the park to birds and waterfowl, over 2,000 food-producing trees and shrubs have been planted, and a wildlife pond is on the west end of the park.

Sandy Point Lodge

We are situated on a scenic point extending into the western edge of Lake Kabetogama. We offer a four season lodge and resort with lake shore cabins and lodge rooms overlooking the lake. Our restaurant offers delicious food and is open to the public and is available for meal plan arrangements. Our lake is an acclaimed walleye fishery and is part of Voyageurs National Park. With our location and the expansive Park, you will find lots to explore through out the year.

Cabins are all well spaced throughout 8 acres of towering tree's and green grass, with 900 feet of amazing sandy beach, cabins right next to the crystal clear lake and lots of water toys and organized activities to enjoy. Watch the peaceful loons dive under the dock, and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets. Private fire rings, grills, picnic tables, and plenty of relaxation. We have designated swimming area with Water Trampoline, slides, obstacle course, paddle boards, paddle boats, kayaks and more.

Sandy Lake Dam & Recreation Area - US Army Corps of Engineers

The Sandy Lake Recreation Area is a part of the US Army Corps of Engineers - Mississippi Headwaters Project. Sandy Lake offers recreational opportunities including camping, boating, swimming, picnicking, and playgrounds. The 60 site campground is open from May through mid-October and features a variety of campsite options. The campground is 100% reservable and reservations can be made from 6 months in advance to the same day of planned arrival by going to www.recreation.gov or calling 1-877-444-6777.

We have a beautiful resort with a large Sandy beach, wonderful swimming and boating, all kinds of water activities, level park like grounds, excellent spring and fall fishing. Open May to Oct. Tennis court, Boats, motors, pontoon rental. Family oriented with reasonable rates. Come for a quiet, relaxing vacation and make lasting memories.We do not allow pets and no wood fires outdoors. We do allow propane fire pits. We also allow jetskis. All cabins have air conditioners

Sandtrap Golf Course

Sandtrap Golf Course is a 9-Hole, regulation-sized course carved out of rolling, wooded terrain and offers either a challenge to some and relaxation to others, depending on skill level and attitude. Par 36 over 3000 yards.

Sandstone Country Club

The Sandstone Area Golf Course located in beautiful Sandstone offers casual and avid golfers alike nine holes of lush greens and challenging fairways. This well maintained 2,608 yard, Par 34 course welcomes golfers daily as one of the most scenic golf courses in the area.

Sands Country Cove Campground

Sands country cove campground has 38 sites with full hookups plus 1 cabin that sleeps 4. The sites are large so that we can accommodate all sizes of campers. There is a gathering and game room everyone to use and enjoy. It is located on the west side of Kansas Lake in Watonwan County. The main fish in the lake are walleye and northern pike.
