Phelps Mill

Check out this picturesque area on the Otter Tail River which showcases the former Maine Roller Mill originally constructed in 1889. If you are visiting the second weekend of July, stop by and take in the Phelps Mill Arts and Crafts Festival. The mill building is open for self-guided tours during summer months.

Phalen Regional Park

Phalen Regional Park offers an abundance of activities. Paved trails, tot lot, 1 fire ring on island, swimming beach, golf clubhouse/banquet facility, Lakeside Activities Center, sand volleyball court near beach area, tennis courts, at Maryland and Johnson Parkway and barbecue grills which are located around the site. Phalen Picnic Pavilion seats approximately 300 people and The Amphitheater includes seating for approximately 100 people. Cross-Country Skiing: 7 km trackset. 7 km skate-ski. Mostly intermediate level trails. Trail runs across golf course.

Phalen Golf Course

This pretty 18 hole course plays to a par of 70, approx. 6000 yards. Phalen opened as a nine-hole golf course in 1917; another nine was added ten years later. The entire course was enlarged and revamped in 1978. Course includes a driving range, full service pro shop, food and beverage service. Clubhouse with banquet room. X-C skiing in winter.

Pezhekee National Golf Course

Championship golf course open to the public located at Peters Sunset Beach Resort on Lake Minnewaska-par 72-18 holes. Scenic views, exceptional gardens, wooded areas, suspension bridge and varied glacial terrain. Lodging at resort. Restaurant and pro shop. Lake activities, including fishing, swimming, and boating. Tee times and golf cars are available the day of play. Near Glenwood. 120 miles NW of Minneapolis/St. Paul; 15 miles South of Alexandria; 100 miles SE of Fargo/Moorhead.

Located on the Root River and the Root River Bike Trail, Peterson provides a city-owned RV campground, the Peterson Station Museum/Visitor Center, the Peterson River Access, Driftless Trading Post for river rentals, and the Peterson State Fish Hatchery.
