Legacy of Lilith Fair is a celebration of the music and artists from and inspired by the groundbreaking concert tour, Lilith Fair. Created in the late 1990s, the tour challenged conventional beliefs in the music industry about the value and worth of female musicians. Act One features songs from founder, Sarah McLachlan along with Paula Cole, Sheryl Crow, The Chicks, Bonnie Raitt, Tracy Chapman, Pat Benatar, Indigo Girls and more.

Ozomatli - 30 Revolutions Tour

If the city of Los Angeles had a soundtrack, it would be Ozomatli. Since their formation in 1995, the six-piece, multi-genre band has been a cultural force. There, they blend Latin, hip-hop, funk, reggae, and global influences into an unmistakable sound that embodies the energy and diversity of L.A. In 2025, Ozomatli celebrates an incredible milestone: thirty years of bringing their dynamic, genre-defying music to audiences around the world. To mark the occasion, Summer 2025 kicks off their 30 Revolutions Nationwide Tour.

Outdoor Painters of Minnesota "En Plein Air" Painting Event

Join the Outdoor Painters of Minnesota for a Plein Air Painting Workshop on Sunday, July 27th, at the Sibley Historic Site. The term “en plein air” is a French expression meaning “in the open air.” This workshop will be led by instructor Jack Dant, a skilled en plein air painter who will share insights into the history of this art form in Minnesota, followed by a demonstration of oil painting techniques.

The Curiosity Collection features 4 new interactive zones aimed at sharing history with our youngest visitors: explore the fossil history of Dakota County in a big dig; push buttons and learn how rural electrification progressed in our region through Dakota Electric; try your hand at measuring weights and loading the carts in the South St. Paul Stockyards; and build your own exhibit in miniature while learning about how collections like ours are built!

The show takes the best of Elton’s greatest hits and brings them to life by mixing the Elton John One Night Only Live concert with the spirit of Live in 1989 Verona Italy Tour.

Ojibwe Moccasin Workshop

Make a pair of Ojibwe style leather moccasins in this two-day workshop, led by Mille Lacs Band elder Carol Hernandez. This workshop is recommended for ages 15 and up. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Workshop takes place from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29. Participants should plan on attending both days.

Oh Ole Night Parade & Fireworks

It's a festive Scandinavian time of year! Head to downtown Grand Marais on the day after Thanksgiving, for the annual Community Christmas Parade, Tree Lighting, and Fireworks. We are continuing our theme of “Oh Ole Night,” celebrating our Scandinavian heritage. 

The parade starts at 5:30 p.m., from the Senior Center parking lot on South Broadway, and will make two loops along Broadway, up Wisconsin Street, turning at 1st Ave and back around to Broadway. On the second loop we’ll end up at Harbor Park for the Tree Lighting ceremony!
