Minnesota’s forests have been shaped by natural events for four and a half billion years, and by human intervention for at least 10,000 years. While natural events provide perhaps the most dramatic effect, human impacts are more apparent in day-to-day encounters with the forest. Brad Jones will provide a perspective on how changing management practices over the past several centuries have shaped the forest we have today.
Step back in time and experience "A Traditional Christmas at Historic Mayowood,” where history and holiday traditions come to life. This year, the History Center of Olmsted County and Mayo Clinic invite you to discover Christmas as it was celebrated by the three generations of Mayo families who once called Mayowood their home. The house is beautifully decorated to reflect the family’s unique customs, bringing the past to life with guided tours that share stories of celebrations during different periods in the home’s history.

Save the date for GMCTA's winter tennis mixer at the Swanson Tennis Center. Casual and fun. You only need your tennis racquet. No partner needed--you will get to play with a new partner every 20 minutes! GMCTA will provide tennis balls for the matches and cookies to snack on.
