Alma provisions is dedicated to offering products for purposeful, seasonal living.
What started as a special collection of handmade bath products for Hotel Alma has grown into a dedicated Alma Provisions store in Southwest Minneapolis offering products for the bath, body and home as well as food and beverage items.

We strongly believe in living with the seasons, which is why our selections change to reflect the scents, flavors and essence of each of the four seasons.

Wendy's House of Soul

Wendy's House OF SOUL, Inc. provides food services and food products to members of communities all across Minnesota. The most known product is the signature SOULROLL invented by Wendy Puckett herself. When asking how SOULROLLS came about, Wendy Puckett states, "SOULROLLS were a way to trick my kids into eating the proper amount of daily vegetables". Her love of food and music is where the brand "You've Been Souled" was birthed. The logo, which is a picture of "Rollo the SOULROLL" wearing headphones, is a visual showing the integration between food and music.

Minneapolis-St. Paul's Best Art Supply Stores

You know those people who stand in front of an artwork and claim their kid could have done it? Well, here’s a chance for them to prove it. This list provides access to the raw and refined art-making tools.

The only thing not for sale? Talent. But classes can help, which several of these stores also offer.

10 of Minnesota's Best Contemporary Artists

Let me start by saying, I plead your indulgence. Any list of “Best Contemporary Artists” is, by definition, subjective. Brilliant new artists come on the scene daily, setting the art world a tilt while my head is turned elsewhere. And my selections, based on my taste (informed by a lifetime of absorbing art, but still), might curdle your cappuccino.

A Guide to Minnesota’s Ceramics Scene, Including Shops, Artists and Classes

As a new arrival in Minnesota, I was surprised by several things: the lack of an “i” in Jucy Lucy, the willingness of Vikings fans to wear fake blond hair under plastic horns, and the powerful prevalence of pottery.

Maybe because I lived near the Northern Clay Center, the Upper Midwest’s ceramics epicenter. Before long, I was at every NCC opening to marvel at the craft and witness potter greats like Richard Bresnahan, Warren MacKenzie and Joan Mondale cause ripples among clay fans.
