Midwest Poetry Mash-Up is a three-day poetry slam tournament that brings together dozens of poets from across the region, country, and world to compete for fame, glory, cash prizes, and the title of 2026’s Midwest Poetry Mash-Up Champion.
As two of the most-loved female singing stars of all time, Olivia Newton-John and Anne Murray shared the country music, pop and dance charts at the same time. This show features all their hits with the beautiful harmonies everyone loves. It honors their original arrangements and is performed by accomplished singers and musicians who enjoy being part of many CDT shows. Jana Anderson, Lisa Keith Bernard and Tara Brueske are joined by Minnesota’s favorite and most-respected musicians in an amazing 11-piece band.
Theater Mu's world premiere of HMONG FUTURES: THE FUTURE OF US is an intergenerational story asking what it takes for a family to move from surviving to thriving. Anchoring the play are three HMong American women, and through their everyday lives, playwright Katie Ka Vang examines how one family can heal. To create this world premiere, Katie Ka held community engagement events and discussions in 2025, during the 50th anniversary of Southeast Asian people in Minnesota!
In March 2024 Phil Manzanera self-published Revolución to Roxy, his compelling memoir. This unique hybrid show will find Manzanera discussing the book, as well as performing.
Step into spring at Prelude at The Westin Edina Galleria for a botanical-inspired cocktail class led by our lead mixologist, Susie. This hands-on experience explores the art of crafting cocktails using fresh herbs, florals, and seasonal ingredients.
Guests will create and enjoy three signature cocktails from Prelude’s botanical menu while learning techniques, balance, and the story behind each drink.
To take the experience home, each guest will receive printed recipes and a house-made botanical syrup—perfect for recreating the flavors of the season.
The field trip for grown-ups!
For 30 years, the Big River Journey field trip has engaged children on the Mississippi River. Our flagship program takes 3rd through 5th graders out on an authentic paddleboat in the Mississippi River for an eight mile journey filled with hands-on learning opportunities.
Once each year, this field trip is open to grown-ups!
