Roadrunner Records

Roadrunner Records was born in 1986 at 4302 “A” Nicollet Avenue, fathered by original owner Todd Adams, who had just moved to the Cities after selling his Madison store, Mad City. Sometime in the early 1990s, the store moved over to 4304 Nicollet and expanded quickly into the growing format of CD by expanding into 4302 “B” Nicollet. During this time we had many in-store performances by local and national bands, including The Mekons, The Go, Bonnie Prince Billy, Eric Anderson, Michael Hurley and Michael Yonkers, to name a few.

Electric Fetus

The Electric Fetus has been a gathering place for music heads and counter-culturists in Minnesota since 1968. It began as a place to get turned on to something a little out of the ordinary, and that still holds true today. James Ballentine “Uptown” VFW Post 246

James Ballentine “Uptown” VFW Post 246 is a Veteran non-profit organization based in a recently renovated mid-century building. The original ballroom is now a 440 capacity music venue and nightclub. We feature three bars and a restaurant in the same building. The karaoke bar has been featured on Esquire TV’s Best Bars of America and remains untouched by any major remodeling since it’s establishment in the 1950’s.
