Basset Hound Races

Everyone’s favorite races are back! The annual Canterbury Park Dog Races are an absolute staple event over the summer. Come out to experience a variety of dog breeds race against one another in competition to place for the Best in Show races, alongside live racing! The winners of each race will advance to the Best in Show finals for a chance to be crowned the champion of their breed on Labor Day Weekend (Sunday, Aug. 31). Races will be held between Live Racing on the main track.

At War and At Home: The WWII Experience

Join them on July 12 and 13th as they turn the clock back to 1945 once again! They will have authentic WWII era military vehicles, weapons demonstrations, children’s activities, WWII trivia, and more! Hot dogs will also be available for purchase throughout the event.

Anthony Shore - An Elvis Christmas

An evening celebrating Elvis Presley’s incredible Christmas Songbook. Internationally-renowned Elvis tribute artist Anthony Shore and his All-Star Band which include a horn section present their very popular holiday revue. Selling out at multiple venues each year, this intimate evening of The King of Rock & Rolls holiday classics appeals to audiences of all ages, with performances of timeless hits like Blue Christmas, Silver Bells, On a Snowy Christmas Night, and many more.

Plymouth Shoe Store has been in the Knudsen family for 132 years while remaining located in the Historic District in Downtown Albert Lea. The store is one of the last "Sit and Fit" style stores around. Meaning that customers come into the store, and sit down to have their feet measured and fit.

Leutholds Men's and Ladies Fine Apparel

It is hard to believe that one mens and ladies clothing store has been open in Albert Lea MN since 1917, but it is true. Leutholds first opened its doors in downtown Albert Lea, then made the move to the Northbridge Mall in 1988, and returning to downtown Albert Lea in 2024. Current owners Bill & Paula Hertling took over in 1992 and have been working together in the store ever since supported by several part time employees who serve customers along with a seamstress who provides in store alterations.
