Northern Stars Turf Festival

Saturday, June 21
Our Signature Race Days kicks off with a special night of Live Racing on the turf!

Five turf stakes including the Lady Canterbury Stakes, the first race ever run on the Canterbury turf course in 1986. Also on the program are the Curtis Sampson Oaks, Canterbury Derby, Brooks Fields Mile and Dark Star Turf Sprint.

For the past three seasons, this night of racing has offered big fields and the largest single-day betting handle.

Naturally 7

Naturally 7 is unlike any vocal ensemble you’ve ever heard. No less than Quincy Jones has called them “the best a cappella group in the world”!

They are known worldwide for their extensive tours with Michael Bublé and as guests with Coldplay and Diana Ross. Moreover, the New York-based septet is a band in the classic sense. They create the sounds of guitars, bass, horns, keyboards, drums, and other instruments through the power of their voices. Here, they call their signature style “vocal play.”

Native American Game Day: Learn to Play Chunky

In this program, visitors will get a chance to play the game of chunky, a sport enjoyed by the people of America's first cities 1,000 years ago.

Chunky is a game that involves rolling discs across the ground and throwing spears as close to the disc's resting point as possible. It's a great game to play on the grass under summer skies! This event is included in regular site admission.
