Tempo Nuovo presented by the Macalester College Department of Music

Macalester College will be hosting a one-its-a-kind showcase of modern music on Saturday, April 4: Tempo Nuovo. The performance will feature an ensemble of exceptional Twin Cities musicians — including members of the Minnesota Orchestra and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra — performing a range of modern music from the past 100 years.

"Dish & Tell" Cookbook Release Celebration with Sarah Peterson

Join Sarah Peterson of the popular blog “Vintage Dish and Tell” to celebrate the release of her new cookbook “Dish & Tell” for an event in the Kelley Farm kitchen! There will be some foods to sample from her cookbook and Sarah will also be demonstrating how to make a traditional Slovenian sweet bread called potica (poh-tee-zah). Traditionally made with many hands, attendees will also have the opportunity to help with constructing the dish.

15th Annual Vegan Chili Cook Off

Dig into delicious chilis, cast your vote for the best bowl and decide the winner! Everyone is entered into a raffle for great prizes. Cook-off featuring local restaurants: Dreamstate Cafe, Food on the Fly, Hard Times Cafe, Reverie Cafe+Bar, Salsa a la Salsa, and Vegan Witt. Students, children, and volunteers get in FREE.

Minnesota Twins vs. Tampa Bay Rays

The Minnesota Twins will host the Tampa Bay Rays for a three-game series at Target Field from April 3 to April 5, 2026. This series serves as the Twins' home opening series for the 2026 regular season.

Al-Mutanabbi Street: The Cultural Heart of Baghdad and the Place of Art and Literature
