Indigenous People’s Weekend is Minnesota's largest Native-led basketball expo featuring something for all ages; skills camp, 3 x 3, 5 x 5, MMIW/R Awareness Game. We'll be bringing back the Art Expo & Vendor Market as well & a handful of more public health activities this year. Stay tuned for all the activities & announcements! VINAI — a restaurant to illuminate Hmong food, history, and connection.
Hmong food draws on the flavors of the Southeast Asian countries that the nomadic Hmong people traveled through. Our menu at Vinai (pronounced VEE-nye) features modern interpretations of the Hmong family dishes Yia grew up eating including large shared mains, bright veggie sides and bold sauces.

Minnesota Jazz Legends Concert

Celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month with a live music event honoring Minnesota's jazz legends, hosted by Jazz88's Patty Peterson, an award-winning vocalist. In partnership with Jazz88, the Minnesota History Center, and the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, Minnesota Jazz Legends will recognize the Twin Cities jazz scene pioneers with live performances and conversations.

Gather, Graze & Grow: A Fundraiser for Midtown Farmers Market

Join us for our inaugural spring market pop-up, featuring entertainment by NUNNABOVE, limited edition auction items, and brunch from Diane’s Place. All proceeds go back to our market, where we protect food and art access, and champion harm reduction and belonging on Lake Street. Sliding Scale tickets: $40-$70 This is a family friendly event. Rodney Crowell

On his vibrant twentieth studio album, 2025’s Airline Highway, Rodney Crowell explores love, memory, and musical kinship. Furthermore, he does so with a new generation of roots artists. Here, the album captures a spontaneous spirit—blending Crowell’s storytelling prowess with contributions from his talented band. Thus, Airline Highway reflects on the past while celebrating the present. The album is inspired by the swamp-pop sounds of his youth and was recorded in the heart of Cajun country.
