Berries ETC.

Just 15 minutes north of Duluth, MN is the quaint and quiet setting of Berries ETC. This small berry farm uses sustainable farming practices to grow blueberries, other berries, fruits and vegetables. Here you can pick your own blueberries amongst butterflies and dragonflies; while bonding with family or friends. To set your private picking time contact Deb: call/text or email.

Wold Strawberries

The Wold family has been growing strawberries in the scenic Driftless region since 1973. Folks from neighboring towns and the nearby Amish community help harvest, but those who want to pick their own berries are welcome, too. Strawberry season kicks off in early- to mid-June, followed by summer-bearing red, black and purple raspberries in early July. The blueberry bushes get picked over fast, so the Wolds ask visitors to call ahead to reserve a picking time. While you’re there, look for the pollinator habitat adjacent to the blueberry bushes.

Rod's Berry Farm

Rod’s Berry Farm began as a dream in the heart of Rodney Elmstrand in the late 1970’s as he finished college. He had the desire to take over the family farm (80 acres purchased by his parents in 1934), but did not have equipment for traditional farming of corn and soybeans. Rod attended “strawberry school” at the U of MN and the first plants went in the ground in 1981 with all of Rod’s siblings coming to help. Rod married Sara after the first picking season in 1982.

Brambling Rows Farm

Brambling Rows was originally created by John and Ruth Jansen out of their love for horticulture and growing produce. After many years of care, they sold the farm in April of 2019 to us, Travis and Rachel Cobb. We are so excited to continue on the foundation that they have built! Our focus is on producing a diverse mix of fruits and vegetables, grown to be as nutrient-dense as possible and harvested at the perfect ripeness. We are not currently organically certified but strive to follow organic practices.

The Strawberry Basket

Welcome to the Strawberry Basket & Big Woods Nectar and the home of Brad and Bess Munsterteiger.

Our story starts in 1983 when Brad’s parents started raising strawberries in Freeport, MN. Working with them, Brad learned the ins and outs of running a pick-your-own farm and he developed a love for growing strawberries.

Fast forward 15 years: We bought our land in the Monticello area in 1998 with the dream of starting our own berry farm. In 1999 we planted our first strawberry plants and in 2000 we were open for business.

Squash Blossom Farm

There are a lot of great pizza farms across the Midwest, but here are a few reasons we think our pizza stands out:

  • We make our own delicious sourdough crust.

  • We make our own flavorful marinara sauce, using herbs, tomatoes, squashes, peppers and garlic from our farm gardens when they are in season.

  • We use premium ingredients, including many organic and from local sources.
