Mounds View Festival in the Park

The first Mounds View Festival in the Park was held in 1975. The first few years the Festival was not held every year. As it gained in popularity, it transitioned to a yearly community event. Over the years the Festival has grown with the addition of a parade, more games and activities for kids, and recently the addition of the Friday night splash pad DJ party.

Minneota Boxelder Bug Days

Family friendly town celebration with free entertainment, food and activities for all to enjoy. Free music on the main stage, bean bag tournament, inflatables, kiddie parade, craft/vendor show, family fun run, grand parade, BBQ contest, chili cook-off, pedal tractor pull, the world's only boxelder bug races, barrel racing, golf tournament... there's something for everyone at Boxelder Bug Days!

Mille Lacs Indian Museum Fun Run

Join the staff from the Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post at the Mille Lacs Powwow Grounds for the annual Fun Walk/Run from 9-10:30 am. Sign up at the pavilion in the vendor area, grab a ticket with your shirt size, then run or walk a mile to earn a free T-shirt!

Coon Rapids Tree Lighting Festival

Saturday, Dec. 14 from 3:30-6 p.m.
Countdown to Tree Lighting and Fireworks at 5:30 p.m.

Join us for a community celebration! Enjoy cocoa and cookies, take pictures with Santa and listen to live music. There will be fire pits to keep warm and fun activities for kids. Make sure you stay for the countdown to a twinkling light display on the tree and fireworks!

Coon Rapids Fourth of July Celebration


Celebrate Independence Day with three days of free events, culminating with a fireworks display on July 4 at 10 p.m. on the grounds of the Coon Rapids Ice Center.
